Congratulations to all nominees for the Mount Alexander Business Awards. With the nomination period now closed, it’s time for businesses to enter the awards.
“Thank you to everyone who completed a nomination form. We are absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming response,” said Eva Parkin, Acting Manager, Economy and Culture, Mount Alexander Shire Council.
“We received more than 340 nominations, representing a broad range of businesses from right across the shire,” she said.
A list of nominated businesses will be published in The Midland Express on Tuesday 11 April.
“Council will be in touch with those businesses shortly to provide more information on the entry process,” said Ms Parkin.
The award categories are:
- Manufacturing, construction and trade
- Retail, hospitality and tourism
- Micro business
- Professional services
- Creative and cultural
Winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel with Business of the Year selected from the winners of each category.
Ms Parkin said there are many benefits for business in entering the awards and the process has been simplified to make it easier to enter.
“As well as recognising business excellence, receiving an award can boost a company’s profile, motivate staff and even improve strategic direction,” said Ms Parkin.
To enter, visit the awards website and complete the entry form by Tuesday 16 May.
The Mount Alexander Business Awards are run in partnership with Maldon & District Community Bank® and The Midland Express/Castlemaine Mail.
